Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Days (Contract)

Schedule: Days – 3×12-hour shifts (36 hours per week), no guaranteed hours

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room RN to join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This 28-bed ER department includes 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitoring rooms. Candidates will provide high-quality care in a high-turnover, dynamic setting.

Requirements

• Licensure: Must possess a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii. Travelers without a Hawaii license must apply immediately upon acceptance of offer.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Certifications: Required – BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Preferred – Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC.
• EMR: Experience with EPIC is preferred.
• Availability: Must attend an employee health appointment prior to assignment start.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in emergency situations with efficiency and professionalism.
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients of varying acuity, including trauma and behavioral health cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
