Description

Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (48‑Hour Contract)

Location: Iron Mountain, MI
Pay: $3,586.00 per week (48 hours)
Shifts: Days and Nights available – 12‑hour shifts
Contract Type: Travel 13 weeks

License Requirement: Active Michigan RN License in hand at time of submission

Unit Type: Med‑Surg Telemetry Beds: 24 inpatient + up to 10 observation/day‑surgery patients Ratios: 5:1 days • 6:1 at 11pm • Team nursing with LPN support (approx. 2:7) Common Conditions: Sepsis, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, GU issues, NHP, pacemakers, ortho post‑ops, chole, appy, TURP‑CBI Drip Management: No titration required Trauma Level: 4 Support: Hospitalist onsite until 6pm (tele‑med afterward) RT available 24/7 Basic arrhythmia interpretation required Travelers may serve as relief charge if needed Qualifications Active Michigan RN license (MUST be in hand at submission) Minimum 1 year acute Med‑Surg/Tele experience BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred Strong IV skills; must be comfortable working without an IV team Must be able to float to similar units Strong critical‑thinking, communication, and time‑management abilities Contract & Scheduling 48 guaranteed hours per week 12‑hour shifts Day Shift: 7am–7pm Night Shift: 7pm–7am Both Days & Nights are available Every‑other‑weekend rotation (Fri–Sun) Holiday rotation (2 out of 3) May include call/standby Orientation: 8 hours (computer‑based + shadowing) Local candidates (within 80 miles) have a reduced rate please call for more information.
