Description

This role is 36 hours per week, 3x12s, on the day shift. The rate of $22 per hour is the rate for travelers, or those living more than 50 miles away from Edmond, OK.

We’re looking for a compassionate Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse (RN) to provide specialized behavioral health care for older adults experiencing psychiatric and cognitive conditions.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor geriatric patients with mental health conditions such as dementia, depression, and anxiety
Administer medications and evaluate patient responses and side effects
Develop and implement individualized behavioral health care plans
Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and mental health support

Requirements

Active RN license
Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, geriatric, or long-term care nursing preferred
Strong communication, observation, and crisis management skills
