Chronic Dialysis RN – Freehold, NJ

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Starts ASAP )

Shift: Days | 36 Hours Per Week (Rotating 8 or 10-hour shifts)

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Chronic Dialysis RN for their outpatient facility in Freehold, NJ. This clinic serves a census of 49 patients using 13 Fresenius T machines. As a Chronic RN, you will manage a pod of patients throughout their treatment cycle, ensuring safe vascular access, monitoring hemodynamic stability, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize long-term outcomes for patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).

Key Responsibilities

• Hemodialysis Treatment: Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments using Fresenius T machines.
• Vascular Access Care: Perform expert cannulation of AV fistulas and grafts, and provide sterile care for Central Venous Catheters (CVC).
• Patient Monitoring: Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis for fluid volume status, electrolyte imbalances, and blood pressure fluctuations.
• Medication Administration: Administer dialysis-specific medications, including anticoagulants (Heparin), EPO, and Vitamin D analogs.
• Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on fluid restrictions, renal diets, and the importance of treatment compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Chronic Dialysis experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Fresenius T machines and "Other Computerized Systems" for charting.
• Licensure: Active New Jersey (NJ) RN License must be in hand.
• Certification: Current BLS (AHA) – Required.
• Flexibility: Must be able to work without blocked scheduling or specific requests; Saturdays are required.

• Setting: Post-Acute / Outpatient Chronic Clinic.
• Clinic Operations: 6 days per week.
• Patient Census: 49 patients.
• Machine Count: 13 Stations.
• Floating/Call: No floating or on-call required for this position.

Logistics Notes

• Scheduling Policy: Strict No-Request Policy. Facility does not accommodate blocked schedules or RTO. Travelers must be available based on clinic needs and census.
