Job Description

Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for adult patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The role focuses on improving patients' functional ability and quality of life through a comprehensive treatment approach addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Unit Profile

• Department: Rehab (Med/Surg)
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirements: Float within 5 units (Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury)
• Number of Beds: 81 private rooms
• Patient Ratios: Approximate 1:6-7 during the day, 1:8 at night; each nurse has a dedicated tech
• Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
• EHR System: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential preferred
