Job Description

Position/Specialty: ICU
Shift: Nights
Ratios/Daily Caseload: 2-3 patients per nurse
Years of Experience Required: 1.5+ years
First-timers Accepted: Yes
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call Requirement: No
Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs (5 facility float clause is for emergencies only)
Holidays: 75% of holidays
Block Schedule: Open to accommodating, but not guaranteed
Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles
Pending License: Accepted
RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 2 weeks, added to the end of the contract
Guaranteed Hours: Yes

Certifications Required

BLS: Basic Life Support
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
NIHSS: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
CRRT: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy

Additional Information

Special Requirements:
- Must have EPIC experience
- No recent Atrium employees (including PRN and internal temp) within the past year
- No recent return travelers who lived locally

Health and Compliance Requirements

Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen required within 1 year of start
Vaccinations:
- Flu Vaccine or exemption required for all candidates during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination documentation is preferred but not mandated
Background Check: 7-year comprehensive background check required within 45 days of start

Education and Verification

Education Verification: Required for all candidates prior to start
North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry Search: Required for all candidates prior to start
