Position Summary:

• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMU), Cost Center 6010.
• Beds: 30 (14 Private & 16 Semi-private).
• Shift: 12-hour Nights.
• Ratios: 1:4 (goal), often 1:5, occasionally 1:6.
• EMR: Sunrise.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience: 2 years.
• Licensing: All submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license.
• Background: Licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.
• Radius Rule: 50-mile radius rule in effect. 

Clinical & Unit Details:

• Telemetry: Nihon Kohden monitors; RNs must be able to read and interpret their own strips.
• Drips: Titration required for Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix.
• Vents: Respiratory equipment (AirVo, Bipap) managed by Respiratory Therapy.
• Support: 24/7 RT, 24/7 Pharmacy (Pyxis), and 24/7 IV/PICC/Midline Team.
• Staffing: Charge nurse takes a full patient assignment; usually 2–3 CNAs (1:10-12 ratio). 

Scheduling & Policies:

• Weekends: 4 weekend night shifts per 4-week schedule (Fri/Sat/Sun).
• Shifts: While the role is nights, the unit notes that no one truly works straight days; all staff may be required to fill in, but nights is considered the only true straight shift.
• Holidays: Flexibility required, but typically covered by permanent staff.
• Scrub Color: Navy blue top/bottom, navy jackets, no hoodies.
