• Average Daily Census: 8–10 patients
• Patient Age: Adults (18+)

👩‍⚕️ Experience Requirements

• Minimum Clinical Experience: 3 years
• Minimum ICU Experience: 3 years
• Travel Experience: Preferred
• Teaching Hospital Experience: Not required

📜 Certifications

Required

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS (must be completed before start)

Preferred

• CCRN
• PALS

👩‍⚕️ Staffing & Ratios

• Nurse : Patient Ratio:
  • 2:1 or 3:1 (Day & Night)

Support Staff

• CNA/PCT: 1 per shift (day/night)
• Unit Clerk: 1 (day shift)
• Other Staff: ~6 per shift
• Charge Nurse: Dedicated (not assigned patients)

Advanced Practice

• Pulmonologist (Day)

⏰ Schedule

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Schedule Type: Rotating Day/Night as needed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (or per unit need)
• Call: None
• Holiday: As needed
• Block Scheduling: Not allowed

• ER (ICU-level patients boarding)

• EMR: EPIC (experience within last 2 years required)
• Medication System: PYXIS

• Scrubs: Any appropriate color
• Shoes: Closed toe
• Jewelry / Hair / Beard / Nails: Professional & appropriate

• Respiratory Failure (BiPAP / High Flow / Vent)

• Alcohol Withdrawal
• Overdose / Suicidal Ideation
• CHF
• Dysrhythmias
• NSTEMI / Unstable Angina
• COVID
• Pulmonary Embolism
• GI Bleed

• Baxter IV Pumps
• Mindray Bedside Monitors
• Kangaroo Enteral Feeding Pumps

Ventilators Managed By: Respiratory Therapy

• Moderate/Conscious sedation

ICU team responds hospital-wide to:

• Rapid Response
• Code Blue
• OB Critical Response

Also accepts transfers from regional critical access hospitals.
