Description

Summary: Cardiovascular (CV) Surgical Tech – Day Shift

Role Overview:
Assists the surgical team in the operating room by preparing surgical cases, maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments, retracting, and supporting surgeons during procedures. Responsible for instrument setup, supply management, and maintaining aseptic technique.

Key Requirements:

Heart/Cardiovascular experience – Required
High School Diploma/GED – Required
OR/Scrub Tech experience – Preferred
Operating room training/course – Preferred

Certifications:

CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or TS-C (NCCT) – Required
BLS/CPR – Required
CNA – Preferred

Key Duties:

Prepare OR equipment, supplies, and sterile field
Pass instruments and assist surgeons during procedures
Perform instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with RN
Maintain aseptic technique and organized surgical field
Clean equipment and assist with patient transport and clerical tasks

Additional:

Adventist Health requires mandatory vaccinations (with possible exemptions). 🏥
