🔬 Histotechnician – Travel Contract📍 Location: Royal Oak, MI 🕒 Shift: Evening – 4x10 📅 Duration: 13 Weeks  <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic evaluation</li><li>Perform embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation for routine testing</li><li>Conduct Hematoxylin &amp; Eosin (H&amp;E) staining and coverslipping</li><li>Assist with special stains as directed by the Histology Manager/Supervisor</li><li>Maintain proper documentation, accessioning, and reporting records</li><li>Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and laboratory quality standards</li><li>Perform routine maintenance of histology equipment and maintain an organized workspace</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) with 1 year of histology experience, OR</li><li>High school diploma/equivalent with 5 years of histology experience</li><li>HT (ASCP) certification or ASCP eligibility preferred</li></ul>
