Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Medical Surgical nursing, focusing on orthopedic patients. The position is based in a medical surgical unit with 18 beds, serving patients of all ages. The role includes float requirements to Rehab and ICU units.

Work Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost Clinician Experience
• Unit: Medical Surgical Combination (Orthopedics focus)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in orthopedics nursing
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience caring for orthopedic patients
• Professional demeanor and appearance (scrubs allowed; casual wear not acceptable)

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the assignment location to qualify as travel staff
• The facility is a 99-bed acute care hospital accredited as a chest pain center
• The community offers outdoor recreation and historical attractions
