Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians, patients, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
• Ensure safe, patient-centered, timely, and effective care during assigned shifts.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document according to hospital policies.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Follow and document clinical protocols and standards of care.
• Identify and address patient education and discharge planning needs.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as required.
• Complete age-specific and unit-specific competency training as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in specialty area
• At least one completed 13-week travel assignment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Epic EMR experience (training available)

Education

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or ASN

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New Mexico RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety)
