Job Summary

The Multimodality Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more imaging modalities under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role includes at least 25% focus in an advanced modality such as CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology.

The technologist performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury, following established imaging protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

Experience

• Less than 1 year of experience accepted

Certifications / Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required within 30 days of hire
• Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) – licensed by the
  Texas Medical Board (required unless MRI or Ultrasound role)
• Certification in two imaging modalities from one of the following organizations:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
