4x10s - 0645-1715, minimum 4 hours of call per week, possible weekends/holidays.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum: 2 years OR experience
  • Preferred: 1–2 travel assignments
  • Preferred Skills: Broad experience across multiple surgical specialties
  • Candidate should list top 2 clinical strengths/areas of expertise

RN Role Expectations

  • Scrubbing required: No
  • Charge Nurse: Available 24/7
  • OR Techs: Yes
  • EMR System: Epic

Scheduling

  • Shift Length: 12 hours
  • Typical Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Overnight shifts are rare, but may occur if:
    • Night call team is on vacation
    • Staff calls out sick
  • Scheduling Style: Based on department needs
    • No block scheduling

Call Requirements

Weeknight Call

  • Usually 4 hours after scheduled shift
  • May cover night call shift up to 12 hours
  • Volunteers first
  • Typically 1–2 times per contract

Weekend Call

  • 12-hour in-house day shift
  • Volunteers first
  • Otherwise once per month

Holiday Call

  • 12-hour in-house day shift
  • Volunteers first
  • Otherwise once per month

Call Response Time

  • 30 minutes

Floating

Floating is rare, but may include:

  • Nearby surgery centers
  • Meridian OR
  • Nampa OR

If RN has CVOR experience (robotic thoracic) they may float there if needed.

  • Hospital-provided scrubs
  • Color: Grey

Orientation

  • Approx. 1 week
    • General hospital orientation
    • Unit-specific orientation
