Description
Day shift 4x9s weekdays & weekends
Minimum Education:
At least a (2) two year Echocardiography accredited program including technical and clinical training culminating in an associate degree or higher.
Minimum Work Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in adult echocardiography (in acute setting - preferred).
Required Certifications:
RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)) or RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Required Classes/Skills:
BLS - Basic Life Support
Required additional Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate competency in echocardiography.
Must be able to recognize abnormal structure and be able to correlate this information into a useful study.
Must be able to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques.
Must be able to utilize ancillary devices, i.e. selected transducers
Experience should include 2D, M-mode, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, contrast imaging, bubble study, strain, 3D, and stress echo.
