Job Opportunity: Anesthesia Technician
Location: Boise, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Certified Anesthesia Technician to support the Surgery Department. This is an urgent backfill position requiring certification with zero exceptions. The role involves supporting multiple operating rooms and various procedure suites with anesthesia equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and setting up anesthesia machines and circuits
- Performing anesthesia machine checks and wiping down machines
- Inventory management of anesthesia machines, Omnicells, and supply cabinets
- Restocking and moving items to needed locations
- Assisting with setup for arterial lines (IV start not performed)
- Responding to codes including OB Stat, Anesthesia Stat, Trauma, and Stroke alerts
Work Environment
- Support for 38 rooms including Main OR, CVOR, CCL, L&D, Endoscopy, EP lab, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Nuclear Medicine suites
- Staff of 8 employees in the anesthesia tech team
- Anesthesiologists and CRNAs available 24/7 with a pediatric trauma program
- Main and CVOR handle urgent cases with a 30-minute response time
- Call is offered but not required; 30-minute response time if on call
- Rare floating within department, occasional float to nearby OR locations
- 8-hour day/evening shifts with variable days; weekend and holiday coverage required
- Scrubs and locker provided; bring own OR shoes and caps
Required Qualifications
- Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.)
- Minimum 1 year of anesthesia technician experience within the last year
- BLS Certification

- Orientation includes 3 shifts in the department

- Strong support available; role may not utilize full scope of practice
- No telemetry or monitor tech responsibilities
