Description

Position Overview:

The CVOR Surgical Technologist will support cardiovascular surgical procedures and float to the general operating room as needed. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to handle high‑acuity, fast‑paced cases, and flexibility with call coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
Float to the general OR as needed to support surgical cases.
Maintain the sterile field and ensure surgical instruments are prepared, organized, and functioning properly.
Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
Follow all hospital policies, infection control standards, and procedural protocols.
Participate in extensive call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
Attend the required 16‑hour orientation (conducted at Cape Cod Hospital for all travelers).

Shift & Schedule:

Shifts: 7:00a–3:30p or 9:00a–5:30p
Hours: 40 hours per week
Break: 30‑minute unpaid break required
Call: Extensive call required, rotating weekends and holidays

Experience Requirements:

CST required
EPIC experience required
Minimum 2+ years of recent CVOR experience
Strong cardiovascular surgical background is mandatory
