Certified Surgical Technician – CVOR

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

Unit Overview

• Beds: 4
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment:
  • GE Carescape monitoring
  • Fuji ultrasound
• Documentation System: Cerner
• On‑Call: Required to stay late 1–2 times per week
• Floating: Within scope of practice and experience
• Preferred Background: Critical care experience required; Pre‑Op experience preferred

Required Certifications:

• BLS

Requested Skill Set:

• Strong BCMA proficiency
• Excellent documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment
• Strong communication skills with interdisciplinary teams
• Effective critical thinking

Common Procedures:

• Large‑bore IV insertion
• Full‑body hair removal (chin to toe)
• Medication administration
• Skin assessments
• Assisting with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement
• Transporting patients to the OR
• Assisting with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep
