Description
Certified Surgical Technician – CVOR
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Unit Overview
- Beds: 4
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Equipment:
- GE Carescape monitoring
- Fuji ultrasound
- Documentation System: Cerner
- On‑Call: Required to stay late 1–2 times per week
- Floating: Within scope of practice and experience
- Preferred Background: Critical care experience required; Pre‑Op experience preferred
Required Certifications:
- BLS
Requested Skill Set:
- Strong BCMA proficiency
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment
- Strong communication skills with interdisciplinary teams
- Effective critical thinking
Common Procedures:
- Large‑bore IV insertion
- Full‑body hair removal (chin to toe)
- Medication administration
- Skin assessments
- Assisting with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement
- Transporting patients to the OR
- Assisting with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep
