Description

Med Surg RN needed in Petoskey, MI for a hospital based assignment. You will care for adult patients with a mix of medical and post surgical needs, including IV therapy, wound care, pain management, telemetry monitoring when applicable, and discharge planning. Expect a steady pace with frequent admissions and discharges, and close collaboration with providers, case management, and ancillary teams. Candidates should be comfortable prioritizing multiple patients, documenting accurately, and supporting unit needs as they come up.

Active RN license required (MI) BLS required (ACLS preferred depending on unit needs) Recent Med Surg hospital experience required Comfortable with core Med Surg skills: IV starts, trach care, wound care, post op care, and discharge education Floating may be required within scope and competency Must be able to pass background, drug screen, and complete all facility compliance items on time Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays as needed
