Job Title: Registered Nurse ER (Emergency Room)

Location: Lewiston, ME

Shift: 7pm -7am (3 x 12)

Expected Hours: 36 hours a week

Job Type: Contract , 13 weeks initially

Job Overview:

An Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides immediate and critical care to patients experiencing acute illness, trauma, or life-threatening conditions. ER nurses work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and are responsible for rapid assessment, stabilization, treatment, and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and triage patients presenting to the emergency department.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Perform emergency procedures such as catheterization, specimen collection processing, and neonatal ventilator management.
Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and home community care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Required Qualifications:

Maine or Compact RN License
2 years of RN ER experience
BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS(AHA)
