Job Title: Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) | Night Shift | 13 Weeks

Location: Fullerton, California
Schedule: Night Shift | 3×12 Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a travel assignment in Fullerton, California. This role is ideal for nurses with strong obstetrics, labor and delivery, and maternal-newborn care experience who thrive in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment.

The L&D RN will provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process while collaborating closely with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients
Perform sterile vaginal exams and labor triage assessments independently
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery
Assist with vaginal deliveries and emergency obstetric situations
Support patient education and family-centered care
Document patient care using electronic medical record systems

Required Qualifications

Active California RN License
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
AWHONN Advanced Certification (required)
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Experience performing sterile vaginal exams independently
Epic EMR experience required
Ability to work weekends as needed

Preferred Experience

Acute care Labor & Delivery unit experience
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
Strong skills in labor triage, fetal monitoring, and emergency obstetric care
