CVOR Travel Nurse Job Details — Baltimore, MD

• Position: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel Nurse / Travel RN) – 1 opening
• Location: Baltimore, MD 21218 — Baltimore nursing jobs near Johns Hopkins and the Inner Harbor; ideal for Maryland RN and compact license holders
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (06:00 – 16:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Call: Required – 4 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Orientation: 24 hours

CVOR RN Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent CVOR RN experience (required); perioperative / cardiac surgery nurse experience preferred
• Experience with open-heart surgery and complex cardiac/vascular procedures (required)
• Able to scrub and circulate for heart and vascular procedures (CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, IABP, thoracotomy/VATS, vascular repairs)
• Active Maryland RN license or compact (multi-state) RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification (required); ACLS certification (preferred)
• Two (2) supervisor references required
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including CABG, TAVR, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, MAZE, valve replacements, thoracotomy/VATS, vascular repairs, and more
• Provide perioperative and intraoperative care for adult patients undergoing complex cardiothoracic and structural heart procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation, including scheduled weekend and overnight coverage
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, social services) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and uphold patient safety, sterile technique, and infection control standards
• Support a patient-centered environment and contribute to quality improvement and clinical best practices
