Travel RN | PCU 

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a Neuro/Stroke focus. This unit manages mixed-acuity patients including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological cases requiring continuous telemetry monitoring.

Position Details:

  • Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
  • Unit Type: Neuro/Stroke PCU (Stepdown)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:4
  • Unit Size: 36 beds (average daily census: 30)
  • Shift: Not specified
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Floating: Yes, within scope as needed
  • Call: Not required
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Experience with PCU-level patients required
  • Must be comfortable with:
    • Titrating cardiac drips
    • Continuous telemetry monitoring
    • Managing mixed patient populations (respiratory, cardiac, neuro/stroke)

Certifications:

  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (required)
  • NIHSS (required)

Systems:

  • Epic (preferred)
  • Pyxis
  • SBAR communication

Additional Details:

  • RTO: Maximum 7 days
  • RTO Blackout Dates: April 4th – April 12th
  • Travel experience not required
