Travel RN | PCU

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a Neuro/Stroke focus. This unit manages mixed-acuity patients including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological cases requiring continuous telemetry monitoring.

Position Details:

Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
Unit Type: Neuro/Stroke PCU (Stepdown)
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Unit Size: 36 beds (average daily census: 30)
Shift: Not specified
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Yes, within scope as needed
Call: Not required
Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Experience with PCU-level patients required
Must be comfortable with:
- Titrating cardiac drips
- Continuous telemetry monitoring
- Managing mixed patient populations (respiratory, cardiac, neuro/stroke)

Certifications:

BLS (required)
ACLS (required)
NIHSS (required)

Systems:

Epic (preferred)
Pyxis
SBAR communication

Additional Details:

RTO: Maximum 7 days
RTO Blackout Dates: April 4th – April 12th
Travel experience not required
