Travel Speech‑Language Pathologist (NICU) – M‑F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Total Gross Pay: $2,086 Contract Length: 13 weeks Facility: The Woman’s Hospital of Texas Location: 7600 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77054 Unit: Speech‑Language Pathology (NICU)
Role Overview
The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is seeking an experienced Travel Speech‑Language Pathologist to support neonatal patients within the NICU, with additional coverage in pediatric and adult areas as needed. This role requires strong clinical expertise, independence, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Unit Information
- Hospital Size: 381 beds
- SLP Team: 1 full‑time Speech Therapist (days), 1 PRN Speech Therapist (one day per week)
- Patient Ratios: Caseload‑dependent
- EMR: Meditech Magic / Meditech Expanse
Required Skills
Candidates must have the following to be considered:
- Neonatal experience
- Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies
Preferred Skills
Candidates with the following will receive priority consideration:
- Pediatric experience
- Adult experience
Typical Responsibilities
- Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities for patients with impairments related to premature birth, birth injuries, illness, or other medical conditions.
- Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s developmental level and clinical needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
- Complete documentation and additional assigned duties in alignment with hospital standards.

- Consistent delivery of timely, high‑quality patient care
Required Certifications
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Texas State License in Speech‑Language Pathology
