Description

Position: Radiation Therapist

Location: Rancho Mirage, CA

Job Type: 13 week contract (Extension available)

Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Monday – Friday 8 - hour, day shift

Expected Hours - 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week

Job Overview:

We are looking for licensed healthcare professional who works as part of the oncology team to deliver prescribed radiation treatments to patients with cancer and other diseases. They operate advanced radiation therapy equipment and ensure treatments are delivered safely, accurately, and compassionately.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver prescribed radiation treatments using LINAC and related equipment while ensuring precise patient positioning, treatment accuracy, and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols.
Provide direct patient care by explaining procedures, offering emotional support, monitoring patients during therapy, and reporting side effects or changes in condition to the oncology team.
Assist in CT simulation, treatment setup, and planning processes while maintaining detailed documentation of treatment parameters and patient records.
Perform equipment quality checks, basic troubleshooting, and ensure all treatment verification steps are completed prior to each session.

Required Qualifications:

1 year experience as Radiation Therapist
Must have a California State Certificate (CRT)
ARRT - Thrapist certificate
BLS (AHA)
