Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology
Location: Elko, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Tech specializing in Adult Echocardiography for a travel assignment. The role involves performing routine and advanced echocardiography procedures in a Level 4 rural trauma facility.
Work Schedule
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Call Requirements: Rotating weekend call (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
- Weekend Hours: None regularly scheduled
Unit & Patient Information
- Department: Echocardiography
- Number of Beds: 75
- Patient Load: Approximately 5 outpatients per day (1-hour scheduled slots), plus 1-3 inpatients daily
- Equipment: GE E95 ultrasound system
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost VidiStar
- Patient Population: Adult
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Adult Echocardiography within the last year
- Certification: ARDMS (AE) Adult Echocardiography OR CCI (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- BLS Certification
- Proficient in:
- Routine Echocardiography
- Stress Echocardiography
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Contrast (Definity) Administration
- Agitated Saline Studies
Additional Information
- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
- Orientation held weekly on Mondays
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs (no camouflage patterns)
- Personality Fit: Self-starter
