MS-Tele Float RN – Zone 3 (Denver, CO)

📍 Location & Floating (IMPORTANT)

• Assigned to Zone 3 (Denver area)
• Must be willing to float within a 60-mile radius
• ❗ No home base facility — fully float role
• Traveler must secure housing within the zone

📅 Scheduling

• Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM / 7 PM – 7 AM
• Schedule released 4–6 weeks in advance
• Built for 6-week blocks
• Travelers must be flexible to fill gaps

🔄 Floating Details

• Float across multiple units:
  • MS-Tele (primary)
  • Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Ortho, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Trauma, ED Obs
• May float to:
  • ICU (low acuity holds)
  • PCU/Stepdown

👩‍⚕️ Patient Details

• Ratio: 1:5–6
• Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Common cases:
  • Cardiac, Neuro, Post-op (general, ortho, gyn)
  • Oncology, Renal, Psych/Detox, ENT, Med-Surg

✅ Requirements

• 2+ years MS-Tele experience (Required)
• Neuro experience (Preferred)
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• Must be comfortable with:
  • Heparin drips (titration required)

👥 Unit Support

• Charge Nurse available (may take light assignment on nights)
• Nurse aides available
• RT equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, vents)

🗓 Work Expectations

• Weekends: 6–9 shifts per 6 weeks
• Holidays: May be included in rotation
• Call: Rare (low census)

🩺 Orientation

• 1–2 days with preceptor
• Must be in-state during orientation week

👕 Dress Code

• Scrubs: Any color
