Certifications

Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Description

*1 dayshift opening and 1 nightshift opening*

Required Skills:

Current RN license in Texas or a compact state
At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty, preferably in perinatal or labor and delivery settings
Certification in AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
Current NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and their families

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience in a perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting
Additional certifications in obstetric nursing or fetal monitoring techniques

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in labor, delivery, or perinatal nursing

Other Requirements:

Attendance at New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of employment
Successful completion of organizational entry and annual competency validations
