Job Opportunity: Pharmacist - Pharmacy
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Job Description
- Responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages and hospital areas.
- Practice in accordance with state/federal and DEA laws, TJC Standards, and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing.
- Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications.
- Participate in medication safety initiatives, patient profile management, and adverse drug reaction reporting.
- Mix IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
- Maintain narcotic accountability.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off, 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Workdays: Wednesday through Tuesday
- No on-call required
- No 48-hour guarantee or blocked scheduling options
Requirements
- Valid Pharmacist license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Sterile compounding experience
Facility Information
- Unit size: 44 beds plus Emergency Department
- Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
