Job Opportunity: Pharmacist - Pharmacy

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages and hospital areas.
Practice in accordance with state/federal and DEA laws, TJC Standards, and hospital policies.
Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing.
Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications.
Participate in medication safety initiatives, patient profile management, and adverse drug reaction reporting.
Mix IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
Maintain narcotic accountability.

Work Schedule

Shift: 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off, 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Workdays: Wednesday through Tuesday
No on-call required
No 48-hour guarantee or blocked scheduling options

Requirements

Valid Pharmacist license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Experience in an inpatient setting
Sterile compounding experience

Facility Information

Unit size: 44 beds plus Emergency Department
Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner

Contract Length

13 weeks
