Echo Tech (Cardiac Sonographer) – Dover, NH
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (04/06/2026 – 07/04/2026)
Shift: Days (07:00 – 17:30) | 4x10-Hour Shifts
Job Summary
Seeking a high-caliber Echo Tech for their Cardiology department in Dover, NH. This role is based at the main campus and requires a technologist capable of performing high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasounds in a fast-paced clinical environment. As part of a Magnet-recognized hospital, you will be expected to deliver imaging excellence and maintain a high standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform comprehensive 2D, M-mode, and Doppler echocardiograms to evaluate heart chamber size, wall thickness, and valvular function.
- Complex Pathologies: Identify and document cardiac abnormalities such as cardiomyopathies, valvular stenosis/regurgitation, and pericardial effusions.
- Advanced Modalities: Assist with or perform specialized studies, including saline "bubble" contrast studies and strain imaging, as required by department protocols.
- Patient Assessment: Correlate clinical history with sonographic findings and provide preliminary technical summaries for interpreting Cardiologists.
- Equipment Oversight: Maintain and calibrate high-end ultrasound systems, ensuring all images are properly archived in the PACS.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in an acute care setting.
- Certifications: * ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) registry is highly preferred/required for MGB facilities.
- BLS (AHA) – Required.
- Residency Note: Local candidates will not be considered for this specific travel contract.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern ultrasound platforms (e.g., Philips, GE) and digital archiving systems.
Unit & Facility Details
- Address: Dover, NH 03820.
- Shift Information: Consistent 10-hour day shifts.
- Weekend/Call Obligations: * Weekends: 1–2 shifts total over the 13-week contract.
- On-Call: 3–5 weekday call shifts total over the 13-week contract.
- On-Call: No heavy call rotation; minimal coverage required as noted above.

- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
