Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist (Oncology Preferred)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 10-Hour Day Shifts

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract in a hospital or acute care setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong clinical knowledge and experience in patient-centered care, with oncology experience preferred.

The pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy management.

Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts
  • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM or
  • 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including medication therapy management and dosing recommendations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient care
• Monitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse reactions
• Provide medication education to patients and staff
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
• Support automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis (preferred experience)

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) required

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy setting preferred
• PGY1 residency or equivalent experience preferred

Certifications/Licensure:

• Active California Pharmacist License (required)
• Nevada Pharmacist License (preferred)
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required or must obtain prior to start

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong clinical pharmaceutical knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR (required)
• Experience with Pyxis (preferred)
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office / Google applications)
