Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Clinical Decision Unit (2 East) at a teaching hospital. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on cardiac monitoring and vasoactive drip management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry and vasoactive drips.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR.
• Float between units and affiliated hospitals as needed.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Contract Length: 26 Weeks (Non-Negotiable)
• Start Date: 3–4 weeks from offer (next available orientation)
• Guaranteed Hours:
  • 36 hrs/week (3x12s)
  • 40 hrs/week (8/10-hour shifts)
• Floating: Required across 3 facilities (within 20 miles)
• Block Schedule: Not available

Required Experience

• Minimum 18 months Telemetry / Acute Care experience (2 years preferred)
• PCU experience REQUIRED
• Strong vasoactive drip experience REQUIRED
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Certifications & Licensure

• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS (required at submission)
• NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Active RN License (must be in hand at submission)

Compliance & Requirements

• All RTO must be disclosed at submission
• Completion of time-sensitive onboarding modules required
• Smoke-Free Facility:
  • Must be nicotine-free
  • Negative 10-panel + nicotine screening required
