Description

Substitute School Social Worker opportunity with the Waterford School District (Michigan). This is a full-time, on-site role supporting students across the district with behavioral and emotional needs.

📍 Reporting Location:
Waterford School District
501 North Cass Lake Road
Waterford, MI 48328

Please note that this is a floating role, and you may be assigned to different school buildings within the district based on requirements.

Key Highlights:

  • 100% in-person role (no remote option)
  • Must be located within a 45-minute commute
  • Opportunity to work closely with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA)
  • Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
  • Support and train classroom staff on behavioral strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions
  • Participate in crisis response team when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • LMSW with School Social Work approval (Michigan)
  • Experience with behavioral assessments and intervention planning
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
