Assignment Details: DHS/LA County-Harbor UCLA Medical Center is currently in need of highly skilled Surgical Technicians (STs) with a minimum of two (2) recent years of acute care setting experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with diverse population as a ST. STs are responsible for preparing the operating room, setting up sterile fields with instruments, anticipating surgeon needs during complex cases, passing instruments, handling specimens, performing counts, assisting with patient care (pre/post-op), and maintaining strict sterility for elective, urgent, and emergent patients. STs require high adaptability for diverse, critical surgeries and potentially faster case turnovers. 

8-week assignment - days and nights available!

Must work every other weekend and holidays. Required certifications include active Certification as Surgical Technician, AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City), and must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance 

before assignment start date.
