PEDS CRITICAL CARE FLOAT RN
3X12S NIGHTS
START DATE: 4/6 (ONLY 1 ORIENTATION PER MONTH SO CANNOT START LATER)

HOME UNIT WILL BE NICU BUT WILL CONSISTENTLY FLOAT TO PICU AND PEDS AND BE REQUIRED TO TAKE PATIENTS UP 18 YEARS OF AGE

CERTS REQ: BLS, NRP, PALS

YEARS EXPERIENCE REQ: 5 - MUST HAVE SOLID ICU SKILLS AND STRONG NICU EXP

NO 1ST TIME TRAVELERS

WEEKEND REQ: 6 WE shifts per 6 week schedule; Major holiday blocks used

NICU 22 bed Level III: Preterm as low as 22+ weeks, Respiratory Distress, Hyperbili, IDM/Poor feeders, Failure to Thrive, Hypoglycemia. Focus on quiet developmental support for each baby.

PICU 8 bed Level II Traumas, respiratory diagnosis, ingestions, few surgicals, etc

Pediatrics: 24 beds - general med/surg with embedded Eating Disorder Stabilization Program and long-term EEG program
