Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 2 years required
3+ years preferred
Must have recent experience in a high-volume L&D unit
First-time travelers accepted with strong relevant experience

Required Skills:

Circulating
Sterile vaginal exams
Immediate newborn care

Certifications:

BCLS
AWHONN Intermediate
NRP

Scheduling Requirements

Every other weekend required
Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
No call requirement
Floating required as needed within specialty (including high-risk OB unit)

Ratios: 2:1
Average 20 births per 24 hours
30–40 admissions per day
40 visits per day
20 rooms
High-risk OB / Special Maternity Care unit
Double assignments are routine
