Description
Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer (Certified – ARDMS/RDCS Required)
Location: Cambridge Hospital & Everett Hospital, MA (Locals within 50 miles accepted; local rate applies)
Shift & Schedule:
- April – End of May: 4/10-hour shifts (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)
- After May: Option to switch to 5/8-hour shifts
- Rotating weekend and holiday on-call schedule (8 AM – 4 PM)
- Must work every other major holiday
Unit: Heart Station
Job Description:
We are seeking a certified Cardiac Sonographer to provide high-quality echocardiography services across inpatient and outpatient settings at Cambridge and Everett Hospitals. Minimal orientation is required; prior experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Maintain and clean TEE probes and perform Lumason competency tasks
- Conduct stress echocardiograms as needed
- Administer contrast agents if certified and experienced
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and timely patient care
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and competency checklists
Requirements:
- Active ARDMS or RDCS certification (required)
- 2+ years of cardiac sonography experience
- Up-to-date resume reflecting relevant experience
- 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty
- Skills checklist demonstrating competency in a specialty
- Driver's license matching demographics
- Current AHA BLS certification
- IV certification preferred (experience with contrast agents)
- EMR experience required: EPIC
Preferred Qualifications:
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Experience with both inpatient and outpatient cardiac imaging
