🩺 Position Overview

American Consultants is seeking an experienced OR RN for a day‑shift travel assignment in Gardner, MA. The RN will provide comprehensive perioperative care, collaborate closely with surgeons and anesthesia, and maintain the highest standards of sterile technique and patient safety.

✅ Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Recent OR experience required
• AHA BLS Required. AHA ACLS Required within 60 days of hire
• Call required per unit rotation
• Strong communication and critical‑thinking skills

🏥 Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and support surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and aseptic technique
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Safely administer medications and IV therapy
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs
• Verify patient identity, consent, and surgical site
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and quality outcomes
