Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Canton, GA (No local candidates within 50 miles)
Department: 651C Special Care Nursery
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Varies)
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Special Care Nursery) for a 13-week assignment. This role involves providing advanced care to neonates with medical and/or surgical needs using specialized equipment.
Unit Overview:
The Special Care Nursery (SCN) provides care to infants born at Northside Hospital and evaluates admissions/transfers from other hospitals on a case-by-case basis. Nurses in this unit work with ReCam ophthalmic imaging systems, cardiac monitors, warmer beds, and isolettes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to neonates with medical and/or surgical conditions.
- Monitor patient condition using specialized neonatal equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Document patient care accurately and comply with hospital protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of NICU or specialty neonatal nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts (7 PM – 7:30 AM).
