Required for Submission: Med Surg/Tele RN - Must have a minimum of 1 year of paid working experience in an acute care setting. 

Patient Ratio: Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8 -10 if staff calls in)
There are PCT’s on all units that do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKG’s and any sort of activity of daily living

Telemetry Med-Surg – 2600

2600 is a stroke certified, telemetry medical surgical unit. This is a 27-bed unit that cares for cardiac patients on telemetry monitoring. Diagnoses on this unit are primarily cardiac in nature, but the unit also cares for patients with a diverse variety of general medical illnesses. Because of this, our nurses develop a strong set of skills and knowledge that they can use to grow their career throughout the acute care environment.

Skills Needed: MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions
 

Patient Diagnosis: Cardiac Unit

EMR/Charting: Epic experience required - no exceptions

Scrub Color: Any combo of navy and white
