UNIT:  NEURO/MEDSURG
**Clinical Interview with manager approval**

Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.

Required Certs to be attached upon sl: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.

Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule.  Every other holiday.

Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessements, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain managemen, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.).
