Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - RRT
Location: Durham, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics for a major teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation. The facility uses EPIC for charting and requires flu vaccination with no exemptions allowed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA only
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccination mandatory, no exemptions or declinations accepted
- Physical exam within 12 months, negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, drug testing within 30 days of start (10-panel including THC, no instant tests), and other standard health immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Polio) required
- Must pass background checks including SSN trace, county, alias, sex offender, education verification, and sanctions list searches
- Two professional references required from employment within the last 12 months (at least one supervisor)
- Competency exams and unit-specific training required
- Must set up a guest account prior to clearance for access to orientation and work systems
- Guaranteed hours
- Locals accepted within a 75-mile radius
