Position Overview

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio is seeking an experienced MSICU Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (7C). This role requires strong critical‑thinking skills, advanced clinical experience, and the ability to float as needed per Methodist policy.

Unit Information

• Unit: MSICU (7C)
• Classification: RN – MSICU
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Common Procedures:
  • Chest tubes, tracheostomies, GI scopes
  • Intubations, central lines, arterial lines
  • NG tubes, Foley catheters, dressing changes

Must‑Have Qualifications

Candidates without these will not be considered:

• Minimum 2–3 years ICU experience
• Strong critical‑thinking and clinical assessment skills
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Active Texas RN License
  • Temporary licenses are not accepted

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these skills will be prioritized:

• MICU or MSICU background
• Meditech charting and order entry experience

• Professional punctuality and adherence to unit guidelines are expected.
