Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
 

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting critical care operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and monitor patients receiving respiratory therapy
• Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and medical gases
• Perform pulmonary procedures in accordance with hospital protocols
• Respond to emergency situations, including participation in CPR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and care plans
• Maintain and manage respiratory care equipment and supplies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA or CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program
• Valid Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) License
• Must hold CRT or RRT certification (RRT required within 120 days if CRT)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care
