Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)
Location: Akron, Ohio
Facility: Akron Campus – Respiratory Care Department
Duration: April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting critical care operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor patients receiving respiratory therapy
- Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and medical gases
- Perform pulmonary procedures in accordance with hospital protocols
- Respond to emergency situations, including participation in CPR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and care plans
- Maintain and manage respiratory care equipment and supplies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA or CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program
- Valid Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) License
- Must hold CRT or RRT certification (RRT required within 120 days if CRT)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care
