🩺 RN – Cardiac/Telemetry Unit (Travel/Temp-to-Perm)

🏥 Unit Details

Patient Type: Cardiac & Telemetry
⚠️ Not a Stepdown Unit
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1 – 6:1 (based on staffing)

📅 Schedule & Requirements

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call: None

✅ Required Certifications & License

BLS (AHA required)
ACLS (AHA required)
Active RN License (State or Compact)

👩‍⚕️ Experience & Education

Minimum 1 year of RN experience (preferred)
BSN preferred (not mandatory)

💼 Key Responsibilities

Deliver patient care using the full nursing process (assessment → evaluation)
Handle both routine & complex clinical situations independently
Administer medications & monitor patient response
Provide patient & family education
Document care accurately
Collaborate and delegate effectively within the care team

🎓 Onboarding & Training

New Nurse Orientation within first 30 days
Preceptorship with trained staff
Competency validation (general + MedSurg-specific)
Ongoing annual competency requirements
