Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide echocardiology ultrasound services in a hospital setting serving all age groups.
Perform pediatric echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and carotid ultrasounds independently.
Work primarily day shift with call responsibilities.
Call requirements include approximately 10 days per month during evenings and weekends.
Facility offers a wide range of surgical services and treats a large patient population annually.

Work Schedule

Dayshift with call
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: 8-12 hour shifts on call

Required Qualifications

RDCS or RCS certification (ARDMS certification required)
BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in pediatric echocardiography
Experience performing transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
Experience performing carotid ultrasounds
Experience working with pediatric patients
Must hold certification/licensure required to work as an Echo Tech in West Virginia
Ability to work independently and perform pediatric echos, TEE, and carotids

Additional Information

Facility has approximately 300 beds
Equipment used includes Canon Ultrasound and PHILLIPS machines
Electronic Health Records systems: Meditech, Fuji PACS, Synapse
Professional dress code: Royal Blue or Red scrubs; no T-shirts or hoodies allowed
