Nurse Manager – Acute Care
Direct Hire | Full‑Time | Day Shift

A large acute care health system is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager – Acute Care II to provide clinical and operational leadership within an inpatient acute care setting. This role is responsible for overseeing nursing operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

The Nurse Manager partners with physicians, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain regulatory compliance, drive quality outcomes, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence.

Position Overview:

• Permanent, full‑time direct‑hire leadership role
• Day shift (First Shift)
• Acute care nursing leadership responsibility
• On‑site role

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day‑to‑day operational and clinical leadership for assigned acute care unit(s).
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient‑centered nursing care.
• Support, coach, and develop nursing staff through performance management and mentorship.
• Promote adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence‑based practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with attendance, punctuality, and departmental guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, mandatory training, and competency evaluations.
• Maintain current clinical and leadership knowledge through continuing education.
• Perform additional duties as required to support departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program (Required)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute healthcare setting
• Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within area of specialty (Required)

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
