Description
Pride Health is hiring a Travel Medical Technician to support our client’s medical facility in Blue Hill, ME. This is a 3+ month contract with the possibility of a contract hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Title: Medical Technician (Traveler)
Location: Blue Hill, ME 04614
Pay Rate: $50-$55/hr. - Weekly- $2,000 - $2,200
Duration: 3+ Months,
Shift: Mon - Fri 2:00pm - 10:30pm
*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
- Follow lab procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Perform testing using approved methods and SOPs
- Review and release accurate test results
- Maintain quality control, calibration, and maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
- Identify and report testing issues or deviations to supervisor
- Document corrective actions for any errors or system issues
- Report critical results as per department guidelines
- Maintain proper documentation of all tests performed
- Ensure reagents and test kits are labeled with dates and stored properly
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Assist with training and learning new procedures
- Participate in team meetings and safety training
- Communicate with staff and clients when needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Science
- 1–3 years of clinical lab experience
- MLT/MLS Certification
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize work
