POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
Must obtain entry level certification and must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
Must have a current Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
BLS required.
Must have ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain within 6 months.
PALS and Stable preferred but not required.
Must be able to be on call.
 

JOB DUTIES:

Types of procedures required. 
Provides Care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes on general medical/surgical floor as well as Critical care Areas. Review and maintain care plans. Performs evaluations on patients and able to adjust care appropriately.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. 
Epic computerized charting (EMR). Scanning of medication and supply utilization. 

All general equipment associated with respiratory care for treatment modalities. Other equipment Servo ventilators, BIPAP ( v-60, Vision) Airvo MetNeb. 
    
Required skills and minimum years of experience.         
5 years experience preferred as a Credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
    
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. 
BLS required, RRT or CRT required
    
Shift or schedule requirements. 
Will not work alone, Call when needed, every other weekend, shifts are variable opportunities.
    
Floating to other units/departments. 
No floating
    
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
